DNS lookup
Look up a domain's DNS records in one go: addresses, mail servers, name servers, text records and certificate rules.
Run the check
What this checks
A and AAAA
The IPv4 and IPv6 addresses the name points to. If the site is behind a service such as Cloudflare, these are that service's addresses, not your server's.
CNAME, NS and MX
CNAME says the name is an alias for another name. NS lists the servers in charge of the domain's DNS. MX lists the servers that receive its email, lowest number first.
TXT and CAA
TXT records hold text, such as SPF, verification codes and DMARC (which lives at _dmarc). CAA says which certificate authorities may issue HTTPS certificates for the domain.
Where the answers come from
We ask Cloudflare's public resolver (1.1.1.1) over HTTPS, so you see what the public internet sees. Changes can take up to each record's TTL to appear everywhere.
Nothing you enter is stored. Results come from public DNS and one request to the address you give.
