  • MITS

Media Incident Training Simulator, for PlanB Consulting

A new simulator built to replace PlanB's previous one. During crisis-management exercises, PlanB's facilitators publish news stories, social media posts and emails into a closed copy of the outside world, and the organisation's team responds as the scenario unfolds.

    • News, Twitter, Facebook, email and web page templates
    • Facilitators post and reply in real time while the exercise runs
    • Invented personas to comment, question and troll
    • Separate views for facilitators, participants and administrators, with feedback after each exercise

  • The HelloRestaurant home page on a laptop: the headline “Discover your perfect dining experience”, a search box for restaurants, cuisine or location, and a Browse all restaurants button.

    HelloRestaurant

    Table booking and restaurant management

Diners find a restaurant and book a table online. Restaurants manage bookings, walk-ins, tables, menus and orders from one portal, and each restaurant gets its own booking website.

    • Drag-and-drop floor plan, with tables that join for larger groups
    • A QR code on each table opens the menu for ordering, and orders appear on a kitchen screen
    • Email reminders for guests and a morning summary for owners
    • Turns a photo of a printed menu into menu items
    • Payments and subscriptions through Stripe

    HeySales

    CRM for small sales teams

HeySales keeps contacts, companies and deals on a visual sales pipeline, with tasks, quotes and a calendar alongside, and shows which companies have been visiting your website.

    • Connects to Gmail and Google Calendar
    • Website visit tracking that stays cookie-free until a visitor agrees
    • Lead forms to embed on any site, feeding new leads into the pipeline
    • An AI assistant on the Pro plan that can look up and update contacts and deals, and add tasks and notes

  • The HelloSupermarket home page on a laptop, in light mode: the headline “Find the cheapest supermarket for your shop”, three steps (add your groceries, compare your basket, shop where it's cheapest), a Start adding groceries button, and the logos of the seven supermarkets it compares.

    HelloSupermarket

Grocery price comparison across UK supermarkets

Shoppers add the groceries they usually buy, and HelloSupermarket shows what that basket costs at Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Ocado, Aldi and Iceland, so they can shop where it's cheapest.

    • One basket priced at seven supermarkets, with the cheapest for everything shown first
    • Items a supermarket doesn't sell are marked, with Aldi and Iceland stand-ins suggested as "Similar"
    • Every price shows the date it was last seen, and old prices are flagged
    • Prices per unit, such as per 100g, for fair comparisons

    • OpenNext
    • Cloudflare Workers

  • The myab home page on a laptop: the headline “A/B testing, minus the big bill.”, one version of a live myab test, beside an example experiment card comparing two checkout button wordings.

    myab

    A/B testing and feature flags

myab lets a website run A/B tests and feature flags from one small script. Visitors are split in the browser, results are kept as running totals, and the statistics stay valid however often you check them.

    • Browser script held to a 3.75 KB (gzipped) budget on every build
    • Sequential and Bayesian results, CUPED and multi-armed bandits
    • Libraries for React, server-side JavaScript, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, Swift and Android

  • Forumm

Event ticketing: we built the first version

We built the first version, the minimum viable product (MVP), of Forumm: a Glasgow-based ticketing platform for community, creative and cultural events. Organisers create events and sell tickets or take free sign-ups, and people browse upcoming events to find one to go to.

    • Paid and free tickets
    • Event listings filtered by organiser and date
    • Check-in with badge printing on DYMO label printers
